Students at the School of Architecture, Engineering, Science and Computing - STEAM learn following the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology. This highly innovative learning system gives them the chance to work with companies on real-life projects throughout the year. While doing so, they advance as a member of a team with varied expertise, thus receiving hands-on and multidisciplinary training. The School makes this possible by providing cutting-edge facilities, such as its Digital Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), design-oriented classrooms, a mechanical workshop, the Hub Emprende Business Incubator, a materials workshop, and more.

Certifications and Accreditations

NAAB

NAAB Certificado Actualizado

Universidad Europea de Madrid has received International Certification from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) for its

Bachelor’s Degree in the Fundamentals of Architecture and its Master’s Degree in Architecture (2015).

The NAAB International Certification identifies a programme as being comparable to a programme accredited by the NAAB in the United States with regards to educational outcomes. It indicates that the programme meets acceptable standards, although it may differ in format or delivery method. The certification is valid for six years starting as of 1st January of the year during which the final inspection took place (Inspection 3). The programme must be reassessed during the sixth year in order to maintain the certification.

The NAAB ‘certification’ differs from the NAAB ‘accreditation’ at the formal level in that NAAB-certified programmes are not allowed to be called ‘accredited’ programmes, as this is a term reserved for programmes approved by the organisation in the United States. However, students graduating from programmes with NAAB International Certification can request a fast-tracked individual review of their credentials for the purposes of the Education Evaluation Services for Architects (EESA) programme managed by the NAAB on behalf of the US National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

RIBA is the world's most prestigious Association of Architects, of which most of the world's most renowned architects are members. Since 1837 it has been dedicated to promoting the quality of architectural education.
