School of Biomedical and Health Sciences

It’s a very exciting time for the field of Biomedical and Health Sciences and we are thrilled to train the next generation of leading health professionals. We know that we play an important role in ensuring our students leave university ready to take on the professional world and become drivers of change across multiple disciplines.

LEARNING BY DOING: Our learning-by-doing model provides students with the opportunity to take part in simulated classes, which offer them the space to make mistakes in a safe environment. Instead of focusing on the repercussions of these mistakes, these simulations serve as an opportunity for students to gain confidence and build upon their knowledge. This helps students to connect with the realities of the professional world, learning early on that working with other health professionals—rather than working alone—is key to success.
