The school

Students in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences receive a high-quality scientific education that fuses theory and practice. Simultaneously, they are trained to become human-oriented, empathetic, and ethical professionals with advanced interpersonal and communication skills. This innovative educational model is based on the integration of course content with interprofessional education, simulated scenarios, and quality clinical training.

Right from their first year, students work with the most advanced technology in classrooms equipped with 3D anatomical models or the dissection room, while task-based training and interactive systems help to develop their clinical reasoning.

Students are trained in our Simulated Hospital, a safe and realistic environment where multiple clinical cases are simulated to hone students’ skills and to allow them to interact with other medical students. The hospital comprises emergency, intensive care, hospitalisation, and consultation rooms in addition to an operating theatre and Mobile ICU, among other facilities.
