As part of its experiential learning model, the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences has a simulated Community Pharmacy that recreates a pharmacy office. It features a dispensary, customer service area, and a backroom for the preparation of health products and medicines.
In this environment, students of the pharmacy and pharmaceutical/biotechnology qualifications work on skills related to pharmaceutical care and dispensing, patient relations, as well as the storage, preservation and preparation of medicines. Real-life scenarios are recreated in a safe environment that allows the student to acquire the self-confidence they need for their subsequent clinical practice.
Both the Community Pharmacy and the Hospital Pharmacy (located within the Simulated Hospital), as well as the rest of the Universidad Europea's facilities, are available to professors and undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of pharmacy and biotechnology.
