Bartlett B-Pro and the Universidad Europea have entered a partnership to launch a summer workshop in 2022, in collaboration with robotic 3D printing company Nagami. This workshop explores new design and computational methods for automated manufacturing in architecture. In the current social and political climate, stemming from last year's COP 26 climate change conference, it is a crucial time to consider the role of the built environment and ultimately architecture in the carbon footprint of cities and how we approach design.
This open workshop offers architecture, engineering, and design students the opportunity to learn first-hand about new digital design and manufacturing tools and processes. Tutorials and lectures will be given by renowned professionals and academics from the fields of architecture, digital design, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing.

Organised by Universidad Europea alongside one of the most prestigious architecture schools in the world: Bartlett B-Pro.
You will learn first-hand about new digital design and manufacturing tools and processes.
This workshop will give you important tools to become the professional you want to be. Upon completion, many of our students go on to study either the Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or the Master’s Degree in Architecture.
Our faculty is made up of leading professionals and industry experts who manage projects in all sectors and academics of Bartlett B-Pro and Universidad Europea.
This workshop take place in the FabLab UEM and in the Nagami’s large-scale robotic fabrication factory in Ávila – to the north-west of Madrid.
The Bartlett School of Architecture
B-Pro, or Bartlett Prospective, is a suite of graduate programs focusing on experimentation in computation, design, and urban environments, offered at the Bartlett School of Architecture. The courses explore the most advanced experimental research in design and fabrication while critically study the large scale of the urban and global communities.
The Bartlett School of Architecture mission is to create new knowledge, understanding, reflection and critique regarding the environment in all its forms, meanings contexts and potentials. The B-Pro programs welcome a diverse international student cohort, offering highly structured access to the realization of research, and to the production of new schemes in architecture and urbanism.
Nagami
Research and innovation are the core of their products, developed in collaboration with internationally renowened designers, who can change technology to create innovative products.
The Universidad Europea de Madrid has received the NAAB International Certification designation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fundamentals of the Architecture + Master’s Degree in Architecture. ICert was granted in 2015 for a term of six years.
The term “International Certification” identifies a program as comparable in educational outcomes in all significant aspects to a program accredited by the NAAB in the United States and indicates that it provides an educational experience meeting acceptable standards, even though such program may differ in format or method of delivery. The following documents are available and can be downloaded from the Web:
In 2019, the Royal Institute of British Architecture (RIBA) validated the Bachelor’s Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture and the Master’s Degree in Architecture.
RIBA is the most prestigious architects’ association in the world, and counts the most globally recognised architects among its members. The association has been dedicated to promoting the quality of architect training since 1837.
Digital Fabrication Laboratory FABLab
The worldwide FABLab network is an organisation that groups together prototyping laboratories that follow guidelines set forth by MIT. The premise of these guidelines is that in a FABLab, the limit must be set by the human imagination and not the machines.

Graduates in Fundamentals of Architecture and Architecture or Engineering Degree Students.
The programme will train you to become a global architect who will go on to work on projects that meet the needs of today’s society. This includes having the skills and knowledge to manage the technological requirements, which can only be achieved through horizontal working structures.
The first school in Europe to achieve NAAB certification and RIBA validation. This facilitates students to practice the profession in the USA and UK.
