We indicate, according to your previous studies, the documents that you must provide to enrol at the Professional Centre. The documentation required in each case will be subject to current legislation:

A copy of your university degree

In the event that you are unable to attend the tests on the date and time indicated, you must notify the New Student Admissions Department of Advanced Vocational Training 48 hours in advance. Send an email to ads@universidadeuropea.es to receive a new testing date.

The entrance exams can be done in person or online for both in-person and online degrees.

3. Submit your application and documentation
FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION 

The candidate must fill out the online application through the pre-student portal.

It is essential to fill out the application in order to start the admissions process.

SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTATION IN ORDER TO TAKE THE ADMISSIONS TESTS 

Along with the online application, you must provide the following documents:

You must provide the academic documents that correspond to your profile and take the original certificates to your advisor at the time of registration. (See Legal Access Requirement on page 17 for Advanced Vocational Training admission regulations for the cooresponding academic year). Without these documents, you will not be formally enrolled and we cannot guarantee space for you.

The registration deadline is set one month after the academic year starts, provided that there is a place for you at that time.

4. Take the admissions tests
Admissions tests:
  • Competences and skills assessment test.
  • Assessment of your English level and, if Spanish is not your native language, assessment of your Spanish level.

The results achieved in your admissions tests will help ensure your abilities are fully developed during your stay at the Professional Centre.

Foreign students must have a minimum B1 Spanish level (according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages) to understand the class.

The student must have this level during the admissions process and must present the appropriate certificate or pass the language test.

However, if the minimum level is not accredited during the admissions process, the student will have a period of time before the evaluation of the first academic year to achieve it. In any case, they must have at least an A2 level during the admissions process.

If the student does not reach the minimal level required before the evaluation of the first academic year, the European Professional Centre of Madrid reserves the right to cancel the student's enrolment with no refund to the student or their sponsor.

It is not necessary to prepare for the admissions tests in advance, as they assess skills, not memorisation.

Competences and skills assessment test 

Approximately 30-minute duration, comprising: 116 questions about general competencies and 23 study behaviour questions.

The test will assess skills and abilities related to:

  • Intellectual tasks
  • Attitudes towards work
  • Attitudes towards cooperation and teamwork
Spanish assessment test 

You must take this test if you want to study in Spanish and it is not your native language.

This test evaluates:

  • Reading comprehension
  • Knowledge of grammar and vocabulary
  • Listening comprehension
English assessment test 

The English assessment test will indicate your current level and allow us to evaluate how you will improve over time.

This test consists of:

  • Reading comprehension
  • Knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Listening comprehension
5. Confirmation of admission and securing your place
CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION 

The candidate will have to check their status through the pre-student portal.

The University will send you an acceptance letter by email with the results of the admissions process.

Students who request recognition of more than 60% of the content of the first or second year of Advanced Vocational Training, will have a response to their application status for admission to the European Professional Centre in Madrid no earlier than the first week of September 2021. They will remain on the waiting list during this time.

SECURING YOUR PLACE 

To secure your place* you must accept the offer and continue with the registration process in the Professional Centre. Once you make the first payment, you will be guaranteed a place in your chosen degree. The schedule will be confirmed once you complete your registration and we receive the admissions documentation. The registration fee should be paid prior to enrolment.

The reservation payment deadline is the same as the enrolment deadline: a month after the academic year begins.

RESERVATION FEE 

The reservation fee depends on the chosen degree (please refer to the table of academic fees).

Once you have completed the admissions process and we have sent you an acceptance letter, you may begin the reservation process.

The reservation fee will be paid by bank payment for each registered year, regardless of the number of modules you enrol in. The reservation fee for a second academic year will be paid in July for the amount published each year.

(*) The place reservation is conditional and can be withdrawn if the student does not demonstrate the legal admission requirements at the time of formalising their registration. The conditional reservation of a place implies that the European Professional Centre of Madrid will not be able to assign the student a place until they demonstrate the legal admissions requirements. Once they do, they can then assess their definitive admission. As soon as the Admissions Department receives the documents certifying the student's legal admission requirements, we will assess their final admission based on the places available in the requested Vocational Training. If the student demonstrates their legal admission requirements and no longer has a place at the European Professional Centre of Madrid in their requested studies, they will have the option to apply for other Vocational Training courses in the same or different field of knowledge—if allowed by the legal conditions for admission. In cases where the European Professional Centre of Madrid does not have a place in the area requested by the student, Universidad Europea de Madrid, S.A.U. will return the amount received as a Reserva de Plaza (Place Reservation).

How to pay the reservation fee 

You can pay to reserve your place in the student portal where you have submitted your application, in two ways:

  • CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD, which registers you immediately.
  • ONLINE TRANSFER, which will register you approximately 3 to 5 days from the start of the transaction.

OR

  • By direct debit taken from the account you have indicated in your pre-student portal. In this case, you will receive an email with the link to a digital signature platform where you will find the direct debit form.
    Payment will be processed once the form is signed. In order to use this payment form, you must have a bank account in Spain or within the SEPA territory (Single Euro Payment Area) that supports this payment method. The SEPA territory includes the member states of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland.

Universidad Europea de Madrid will issue a receipt of payment to the account provided by the student on the first of each month, depending on the selected payment method.

6. Formalising enrolment and submitting admission documentation

Documentation of the legal admission requirements for students

To enrol in Advanced Vocational Training, it is essential that you meet the legal admission requirements for the degree you are requesting.

For all students:

All of the documents below must have an electronic signature or be copies certified by public officials or a Spanish notary.

Clarifications:

  • What is a certified copy? A certification is a legalised copy of an original document.
  • Where can I certify an original document? In most public bodies, in front of a Spanish Notary.
  • DNI for national students and passport for international students. This document is essential to officially complete the student's file at the Professional Centre and in order to process the degree.

How to pay your tuition

Tuition covers the academic content associated with each degree, which is made up of subjects or modules.

Tuition fee: The annual tuition amount can be found in the table of academic fees.

Specifications on tuition for students who request credit recognition: 

  • Once the credit recognitions are officially resolved by the corresponding body, we can formalise your registration and adjust it according to the classes you take. Until this validation process is resolved, you will be enrolled on and must attend all of the modules taught in the course. As a result, the first monthly instalments will be for the same amount as a student who has enrolled in the entire course would pay.
  • Subsequently, as soon as the official validation is resolved by the corresponding body, we will proceed to retroactively adjust the fee paid in your favour.This does not apply, however, to those who have an exemption from the Work Centre Training (WCT) module for professional experience; in this case, you must pay the entire amount of the Tuition and Place Reservation, regardless of whether the exemption is total or partial. 
Tuition payment methods 

For all Advanced Vocational Training programmes listed in this document, the corresponding tuition fee will be paid by direct debit through a bank within the SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area) territory, via one of the following methods:

  • Monthly payment 

Payment will be made in equal monthly instalments. The number of instalments will be calculated based on the start and end date of your programme.

  • Monthly payment deferred until August 

The payment will be made in equal monthly instalments, from the start of your programme until the month of August.

Applicable to new first-year students.

These conditions will not be applicable to students in their final year or students who do not have their payment set up through direct debit.

If a student misses two payments at the European Professional Centre in Madrid, they will not be able to choose the deferred payment method.

The conditions established for the deferred payment method are applicable to the 2020/2021 academic year. The Professional Centre reserves the right to modify the conditions for the following academic year.

As with other payment methods, the student must be up to date with all payments in order to request a transfer of their academic record.

  • Annual payment 

A single fee for the entirety of your education, direct debit or otherwise.

Tuition may be paid through one of the following:

  1. By direct debit: 

The Professional Centre will issue a receipt of payment on the first of each month, depending on the selected payment method, to the account provided by the student once the enrolment has been formalised.

You must have a bank account in Spain or within the SEPA territory (Single Euro Payment Area) that supports this payment method. The SEPA territory includes the member states of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland.

If you have chosen a non-direct debit annual payment, you can pay it on our website.

  • Online Card: virtual platform connected to the bank. Payment is confirmed on the spot, immediately giving the student access to all services.
  • Payment Letter(national payments only): the student can download an encoded letter which they can take to the bank to make their payment; the system will be updated 24 hours after the payment is made.
  • Online Transfer: the University has reached an agreement with Flywire to facilitate national and international payments. Flywire allows you to make payments safely from any country and bank, and generally in your country’s currency. Payment will be received in about 3 to 5 days.

If you have registered before 1st September, the annual payment must be made before then.

If you have registered after 1st September, the annual payment must be made within 5 days of formalising your registration.

It is mandatory to fill in the direct debit form regardless of the chosen payment method, including information about the financial provider and payment option.

Credit recognition process
OFFICIAL VALIDATIONS AND MODULE EXEMPTIONS

To request official validation of modules or subjects, you must be enrolled on the Advanced Vocational Training programme at the Professional Centre in Madrid for which you are requesting validation, and you must submit your request before the start of the academic year.

If you have enrolled during an extraordinary period, you must apply when your enrolment takes effect.

Documentation you must provide with your application:

Request form (Annex 4) of the Order ECD/1055/2017 of 26th October. Make sure to explicitly indicate the code and the exact name of the professional modules established in the Royal Decrees of your degree.

Documentation that verifies your enrolment in the courses for which validation is requested.

Documentation that verifies the studies completed, by means of an original or certified photocopy.

Documentation, where appropriate, of the university studies completed, the courses or subjects taken, and the official programmes—all by original or certified photocopy and duly stamped by the corresponding university.

All documentation indicated in this section must be submitted to the Professional Centre.

You will receive the final results of your study validations by official notification from the European Professional Centre of Madrid or the corresponding public body. Certain professional modules in the Vocational Training courses may be validated, following the stipulations established in the Order of 20th December 2001; Order ECD/1055/2017 of 26th October; and in the Royal Decrees of degrees, which was published after the last cited order. These validations are directly carried out by professionals at the educational centre where the applicant has enrolled and where their academic record is on file. On the other hand, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has incorporated its own modules into the study plans of some of the Vocational Training courses taught in the Community of Madrid. Resolving the request for validation of these modules may entail the processing and express resolution by the Ministry of Education and Research. In the event that the applicant provides proof of professional training at a university or educational centre that is now defunct, the University will send them to the MECD for resolution. > The validated professional modules will be scored as a five for the purpose of obtaining the average mark.

WCT MODULE EXEMPTION DUE TO PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 

Students may be exempt from the professional module of Work Centre Training if they have prior work experience.

Students enrolled in said module may request an exemption by proving they’ve had, at the time of application, work experience corresponding to one year of full-time work. This experience—which must be related to the vocational training in which they are enrolled—will allow us to assess whether the candidate has acquired the module’s learning outcomes. Full-time volunteer experiences and grants related to the competencies of the vocational training will also be considered.

Fee for WCT Module Exemption for Professional Experience 

Students who are totally or partially exempt from taking the WCT module must still pay the full reservation fee and tuition for the module.
