At UEmprende you will find initiatives that awaken and encourage your entrepreneurial spirit and help you develop an entrepreneurial culture. You will have the necessary resources to stimulate, train and accompany the projects devised within the university. And you will have specialised advice from an expert team in the implementation of these projects.

23% of our graduates undertake an entrepreneurial venture 15 months after completing their studies.

Getting in touch with entrepreneurship

During your studies you will take part in different activities that will bring you closer to the world of entrepreneurship so that you know what it is all about. You will meet other entrepreneurs, attend creativity and idea generation workshops and take part in professional challenges. In these challenges, you can help entrepreneurs who are developing their business and ask for solutions to their real problems, for example with data analysis or legal issues.

At the beginning of the academic year you will be able to attend UEmprende Event, the event where you will learn how to boost your ideas and entrepreneurship projects. These are days of inspiration with social entrepreneurs and masterclasses on ideation, creativity and communication.

At UEmprende Event you will put everything you have learnt into practice by creating projects in teams and defending them in a pitch competition.

Entrepreneurship training

You have at your disposal training resources to improve transversal competences in entrepreneurship and to implement a business plan through workshops, masterclasses and other pedagogical tools.

European project INCORE

One example is this training programme on entrepreneurship and innovation for young entrepreneurs and startups, dedicated to learning about business culture and the conditions for developing a business. There are 13 modules that go through the entire process necessary to start a business and launch a product or service. You can carry out a self-assessment of your entrepreneurial skills, get inspired by success stories and learn innovative methodologies.

Training with other entities

You can also receive training in collaboration with other recognised institutions in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, such as the Programa Impulso Digital with the Mashumano Foundation to improve digital skills and promote female entrepreneurship. Or the Hub Empleo Verde programme with the Konecta Foundation if you have business ideas in the field of green employment, sustainability or the circular economy, in which the potential and viability of future projects is analysed and the keys to entrepreneurship from scratch are given.

Beyond the idea

If you want to go further and transform entrepreneurial ideas into projects or, better still, into companies, there are also initiatives that accompany you in this process. You have at your disposal programmes promoted inside and outside the university, which offer you specific training and advice from experts in the creation and implementation of entrepreneurial projects.

Programmes run by the European University:

UEmprendedores

This is the University's own support programme, which welcomes 20 projects from both students and graduates. If you have an innovative project, this is a great opportunity, as you will receive specialised training, mentoring, expert advisors and financial support. It is possible thanks to the sponsorship of Santander Universities and the European University Foundation.

The UEmprendedores programme has won an honourable mention in the MetaRed X 2023 International Award.

Other initiatives:

Vodafone Campus Lab

Training and coaching programme for future leaders of the company in which you will learn to lead a team and solve complex challenges.

You will develop what you have learnt by facing a real company challenge, together with other students and a mentor. Once completed, you will become part of the Vodafone talent pool and receive a certificate validated by Blockchain.

Startup Programme

It is an inter-university programme of the Junior Achievement Foundation, developed in 15 European countries in parallel, which fosters the entrepreneurial spirit in the university environment and promotes entrepreneurship as an alternative for incorporation into the market.

Based on your idea, and accompanied by volunteer mentors, you will design your business model, acquiring the personal and technical skills necessary for its development. The programme culminates in a national inter-university competition.

In the last edition, of the fifteen finalist projects, two were from our university, SILES TRAVESÍAS and KAIAOLA, which won the special prize of the public.

Explorer

This is an initiative of Santander Universities. This 100% digital programme is ideal to help you validate an idea and turn it into a sustainable business, with a practical approach and based on social learning dynamics.

Over 12 weeks, you will work on your idea, transforming it into a solution that contributes to achieving the 2030 SDGs. It is designed to make you an active part of the change through the implementation of economically sustainable projects in different industries, sectors and types of organisations.
