Several charities have received the support of Universidad Europea thanks to a book market and a collection of food, gifts and clothes, among other charitable actions.
The Universidad Europea concluded the Christmas season as what it really is: a time of generosity, empathy and solidarity. The Institution understands that sustainable development is essential to continue progressing as a society. For this reason, it has involved the entire educational community in different activities aimed at providing solutions to major social challenges.
The students showed their humanitarian side by participating in the donation of books that were sold at a charity market. A total of 1,200 euros were raised, with which the University was able to help Save the Children in its campaign "No family without Christmas".
In addition, our educational community also participated in the collection of different types of food, clothes and toys. In total, 180 kilos of food were collected to collaborate with the Simón de Rojas Association and 150 gifts and 185 items of clothing were collected to contribute to the San Germán parish and the City Council of Villaviciosa de Odón.
The students of the Universidad Europea also made more than 2,000 Christmas cards and 60 advent calendars, which were distributed to different hospitals and nursing homes.
