The Master’s Degree in Big Data Analytics is aimed at engineers, statisticians, mathematicians, and data analysts with an interest in ICT who are seeking to expand their knowledge of storage techniques and distributed information processing, as well as the analysis and visualisation of large volumes of data.
You will learn to apply cutting-edge data science and machine learning technologies, becoming an expert in big data and infrastructure management, machine learning and business management process analysis.
You will have access to the AWS Academy to prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner qualification during the module on cloud architectures, and the AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty during the module on data processing and machine learning.

These courses prepare you for the AWS Academy Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence certifications.
In this master's program, cloud computing tools and infrastructures such as Amazon EC2 are used (which allows access for academic collaborators for educational purposes as well as paid access). On this IaaS, Hadoop-type cluster services and HDFS are implemented to enable the use of distributed systems and databases typical of big data (Cassandra and HBase, with Hive/Impala access). At the application level, analysis and machine learning tools (Mahout and Spark) are provided, along with visualization libraries (D3.js and IBM's BigR visualization).

At the end of this course, you will receive an official qualification in Big Data Analytics.
The programme is structured so that you will learn in depth about the management, analysis, processing and visualisation of data. You will be able to choose between an internship or research pathway, and you will finish your master's degree with the presentation of a project applying the knowledge you have acquired, using state-of-the-art tools.
