Universidad Europea celebrates its thirtieth Communication and Marketing Week

Universidad Europea has put the finishing touch to its thirtieth edition with the participation of the rector of Universidad Europea de Madrid, Elena Gazapo; the presenter Pedro Piqueras; and the musician and artistic director, Manuel Martos. The event was attended by other distinguished guests throughout the week, such as Fernando Méndez Leite, Pablo Berger, Vicente Vallés and Ángeles Blanco

"As every year, this emblematic week has highlighted the value of our academic model of experiential learning. Also, once again, this group of students and professors has managed to jump even higher, run even faster and go even further than we ever imagined we could go; and all of this, for thirty consecutive editions". This is how the Rector of Universidad Europea de Madrid, Elena Gazapo, closed the thirtieth edition of the Communication and Marketing Week.

The event, recognised by UNESCO for its interest in the dissemination of culture and communication, has distinguished the contribution to society of Pedro Piqueras with the Professional Career Award in Information Communication. Universidad Europea Alumni, Manuel Martos, has been awarded the Europea Media Award, in recognition of his career in the world of music.

The conference, which has managed to become one of the main international forums dedicated to Journalism, Audiovisual and Advertising Communication, International Relations and Marketing, has emphasised the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the social sciences sector. Another prominent role was played by the world of cinema, with the presence of Fernando Méndez Leite, part of the team of the Oscar-nominated film "The Snow Society"; Pablo Berger, winner of the Goya for Animation 2024 for "Robots. Dreams"; as well as Álvaro Longoria, founding partner of Morena Films; among others.

The emblematic Communication and Marketing Week was also attended by professionals from the world of communication, such as Néstor Barreira, director of Actualidad at Mediaset; journalists Ángeles Blanco, Vicente Vallés and Víctor Arribas; senators Susana Díaz and Fernando Martínez Maíllo; communication directors Sergio Calvo and Sandra Fernández; and influencer and student at the Universidad Europea, Paula Marqués; among other prominent communication professionals.

During these days, the Employability & Entrepreneurship Unit of the Universidad Europea held the Communication and Marketing Job Day, where a job fair was held with the presence of twelve major companies in the area of Communication and Marketing. They also held the round table "Professional career: challenges and opportunities in the world of Communication and Marketing".
