The Villaviciosa de Odón campus of Universidad Europea de Madrid was able to enjoy the presence of more than ten of the more than 100 NGOs with which the Institution collaborates each year
‘Sowing commitment’. This was the title under which the European University hosted its 2nd edition of the Solidarity Spring. The higher education institution celebrated the event with more than ten NGOs: Save the Children Spain, Spanish Red Cross, Best Buddies International, Fundación Soñar Despierto (Spain), Ecologistas en Acción, Fundación para el desarrollo de Benín, Abrazo Animal, Fundación Masnatur, Viajes Tumaini ONG, SAMUR-Protección Civil, ONG Rescate, Fundación Gregal and 501st Legion, visited the University to share with the students the work they do for society.
The Universidad Europa, which annually collaborates with more than 100 NGOs, also wanted to involve its clubs in these days. The Hiking Club informed the students about its activities and the Music Club put the finishing touch with a concert that closed the event, which brought together a large number of students.
During the day organised by the Vice-Rectorate for University Life and Social Commitment, Astrid Montilla, Director of University Life, has interviewed in streaming the different organisations that have attended the Solidarity Spring, allowing to bring their work closer to the students of Valencia, Canary Islands and the Online modality.
The European University, thanks to this type of activity, prepares young people, not only for the development of a professional activity, but also to continue training them. The Institution aims to enable young people to successfully take on the new challenges posed by society in a critical and committed manner.
