- Be Spanish or have the nationality of a member state of the European Union.
- For families who are citizens of the European Union, permanent residence in Spain is required.
- For non-European Union citizens, the regulations on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration will apply: i.e., you may be entitled to a grant if you are under 18 years of age or have obtained a residence permit by December 31, 2022.
- You may not have obtained a degree at a level equal to or higher than the studies for which you are requesting the scholarship.
For first-year undergraduate students:
- Enrollment of 60 credits. You will also be eligible for a grant, with some limitations and special requirements, if you register for at least 30 credits. (We advise you to consult the call for applications for any exceptions that may affect you, for example, a double degree, if the university regulations limit enrollment, if they are the final credits, if they are taken in semesters, etc.).
- Have a minimum grade of 5 points in the test or education (for example, higher grade training cycle) that has given you access to the university. If you have accessed through EBAU, we will not take into account the specific phase. So we will use the following formula: 0.6 NMB (average High School grade) + 0.4 EBAU (Assessment of High School qualification for University Access).
For second and subsequent year undergraduate students:
Engineering and Architecture

The financial requirements can be consulted in Royal Decree 117/2023, of 21 February, which establishes the income and family wealth thresholds and the amounts of grants and study aids for the academic year 2023-2024, and partially modifies Royal Decree 1721/2007, of 21 December, which establishes the system of personalised grants and study aids.
The grant financial aid is composed of two parts: a fixed amount and a variable amount.
Fixed amount
It is called a fixed amount because, unlike the variable amount, it is a fixed amount established each year in the call for applications.
Components | Amount in Euros |
---|---|
Tuition scholarship* | It will include the amount of the credits for which you register for the first time |
By family income | €1,700 |
For change of residence during the school year | €2,500 |
For academic excellence | €50 - €125 |
Variable amount
Once the Ministry of Education has allocated the fixed-amount grants to all those who have applied and meet the requirements, it will distribute the remaining amount of the total budget. This distribution is established by the Ministry utilizing a mathematical distribution formula that assigns a weight, i.e., measures, the average grade of your file and your family per capita income.
In any case, the variable amount will be the minimum (€60) if:
- You enroll for between 30 and 59 credits
- You are only taking a Bachelor’s or Master’s Final Project that is not an additional course in the Curriculum
Tuition Scholarship
Once the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training communicates the final list of beneficiaries, the University will publish the final price/credit per degree to be paid as tuition grant.
- Applying for the Ministry of Education grant does not exempt the student from paying for the degree to be studied at Universidad Europea.
- All variable and fixed amounts that are granted will be paid directly to the beneficiary by the Ministry of Education into the current account indicated in the grant application, with the exception of the tuition scholarship, which the University will pay.
- The scholarship will cover only the price set by the autonomous community where you study for that degree or another with the same experimental nature in a public university, with the limitations on the amounts additionally established by the Ministry’s annual call for scholarships. The price per credit will be the official price set for the 2023-2024 academic year according to the degree.
- Once the Ministry of Education publishes the final lists of the scholarship recipients, we must wait for the Ministry to request the data of the credits enrolled and taken by the recipients to calculate the fees to be paid. Once these data have been processed and validated by the Ministry of Education, the amounts of each scholarship recipient will be paid to the University.
- This Agency makes partial payments to the Universities, so the first payment will be made in June and the second in September approximately.
- Scholarship reimbursements will be made through the current account of the student’s financial officer at the University and will not be deducted from any monthly payment.
