Tech Factory is a multifunctional innovation space that houses areas dedicated to virtual reality, cybersecurity and computer graphics.
It is the only lab that has professionally licensed software within the university and is 100% available for students to work from start to finish on their marketable projects, from the initial idea to the sale of your own product. It is an environment, where imagination meets technology, that not only meets academic needs, but also nurtures the entrepreneurial and creative spirit of the students.
This space also has the collaboration of various Industrial Partners who make available their knowledge, their products and even some of their experts to facilitate and enhance learning in this space.
The computer graphics studio, equipped with 10 workstations, including 3 with fixed WACOM stations and others with portable graphics tablets, provides the perfect environment to bring to life all kinds of ideas related to the generation of simulations and graphic developments, from conception to final materialisation.
The XRLab is an immersive corner, the epicentre of virtual reality. Here, students learn how to develop products using these technologies and teachers use the Oculus Quest 2 and HTC Vive to teach classes and workshops that transcend traditional learning barriers, using cutting-edge technology to immerse students in three-dimensional educational experiences. It is an open door to creativity and knowledge, where virtual reality goggles and other equipment act as a bridge between the tangible and the virtual.
It is a simulation environment in the cloud of different technological infrastructures that allows students to face the challenge of attacking and defending these infrastructures thanks to a competitive platform that allows them to acquire, with each challenge solved, a higher score in the participant rankings. A gamified space where students can learn the latest cyber-attack and cyber-defence techniques.
