Physiology Laboratory

This lab is designed for the study of physiology by health sciences students. It is a space where students can explore and understand the function of the human body and clinical exploration.

This lab features the necessary technology so students can understand the function of the human body’s different organs and systems. Students can monitor cardiac function, perform spirometry, assess muscle reflexes, and more.

The lab encourages peer learning by introducing students to the clinician-patient relationship.

The Physiology Laboratory is utilised by all| degrees where anatomy, histology or physiology is an integral part of their programmes, including:

• Advanced Vocational Training

Like all spaces in this field, this laboratory consists of multifunctional classrooms that are adapted for various specialised workshops.

• Six folding stretchers
• Six fixed tables
• Projector, electronic whiteboard and monitors
• Six fixed computers equipped with BIOPAD Hardware for electrophysiological studies with the possibility of performing:
• Electrocardiograms
• Spirometry
• Electromyography
• Equipment for physical examinations
