The Dissection Laboratory is a modern and safe environment where postgraduate students and specialist doctors can continue their training in different surgical approaches and techniques.

This lab is a multifunctional space designed to respond to the anatomy training needs of health sciences students. This facility promotes the study of anatomy in a safe and modern working environment, and caters to the needs of the various health sciences degrees.  Its technological resources and collective expertise allow students to learn in a comprehensive and integrated way. This is a learning environment where physiological, histological and even diagnostic imaging aspects converge, with anatomy at its core.

Its collection of models allows for the individual study of each organ, or as part of its bodily region, or as part of a complete view of the human body.

These facilities transform into a perfectly equipped surgical environment for specialised postgraduate training, where students can learn and practice different surgical approaches and techniques.

This laboratory is a space of continuous innovation, where work is done for the purpose of finding new perspectives and approaches to the study of anatomy and for the preparation of teaching material.

The Dissection Laboratory is used by all degrees where anatomy is the basic pillar of their programme.

  • In addition, it plays an essential role in the Bachelor’s in Medicine, with different purposes depending on the course. Medicine students finish their training in this space with a complete anatomical and functional view of the human body.
  • It is also essential for those taking the Bachelor’s in Dentistry. These students will learn general human physiology while specialising in the anatomy of the head and neck.
  • It is also necessary for those studying physiotherapy, nursing, psychology and sports and physical activity sciences.  The laboratory’s resources allow the various health sciences students to complete their anatomy training in this space.
