This type of room is primarily used for dubbing exercises and for sound recording of audiovisual pieces such as advertising spots, shorts or documentaries.
It is also required for more specific purposes such as the recording of room effects or musical backgrounds.
Additionally, it is used to record multitrack recordings of music bands for audio demo editing.
Students are taught to use it in subjects like Sound, Sound Design, Audiovisual Music, or Voiceover and Dubbing. However, students can also use it for their assignments and projects in other subjects within the Degree or for their Final Degree Project if needed.
It is a room with an acoustically isolated booth and control room, equipped with a computer running multitrack recording software (Protools) with its control surface, as well as music creation software (Cubase, Logic, Sibelius, Digital Performer, Ableton, etc.).
It also includes specific microphones for vocals and instruments, as well as guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums.
