The Biotechnology Laboratory is part of the facilities of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences at Universidad Europea de Madrid. Here, the students will study different techniques of molecular biology and cell cultures in depth.
The Biotechnology Laboratory allows students to carry out their immersion in the field of molecular biology applied to biotechnology. The student will learn to handle equipment that is present in any research laboratory dedicated to biotechnological development in both the public and private business sectors.
The development of practical work in this laboratory will prepare the student to face the problems that will arise in their future professional life as a biotechnologist and/or pharmacist, as well as to perform with ease, independence and security in any laboratory of similar characteristics.
The laboratory is available to all students in the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences, and its main users are students studying the Bachelor's in Biotechnology or the Bachelor's in Pharmacy. The main courses taught here are Molecular Genetic Engineering, Functional Genomics, Advanced Instrumental Techniques, Cell Culture and Tissue Engineering, and Experimental Biotechnology.
