• Once you have completed your online application, you will receive an email with access to the pre-student portal. You can use this online portal to pay the fee for the admission exams (€150).
• By paying this fee, the student is confirming that they wish to participate in Universidad Europea’s Admissions Process for the Bachelor’s in Medicine. This amount will not be refunded under any circumstances.

In order to request access to the admissions process for the Bachelor's in Medicine, it is necessary to reserve a date for the admission exams. The next available date will automatically be assigned to you once you complete your application.

The next scheduled exam date is:

• 23 January.

This exam will be taken once you complete your application and pay the exam fees. You must take it online before you can make an appointment for the remaining tests.

It is a test to assess skills/abilities related to:

• Intellectual work.
• Attitudes towards work.
• Attitudes towards cooperation and teamwork.

It lasts approximately 30 minutes and consists of:

• 116 general skills questions.
• 23 questions about study habits.

Upon completing the application, you will receive the key codes for accessing the competence and skills test.

English exam

All students wishing to participate in the admissions process for the Bachelor’s in Medicine must take this. This tests your English level by assessing:

• Reading comprehension
• Knowledge of grammar and vocabulary
• Listening comprehension

Spanish exam

All students whose mother tongue is not Spanish must take it, regardless of the language certificates they may have.

This tests your level of Spanish by assessing:

• Reading comprehension
• Knowledge of grammar and vocabulary
• Listening comprehension

Documentation

You will have to submit the academic documentation—ideally, before taking the tests, but otherwise, as soon as possible—to nuevosalumnosmedicina@universidadeuropea.es mentioning your name, surname(s) and ID number in the subject.

What academic documentation do I need to submit?

• Students with a high school diploma from educational systems of EU member states and countries with reciprocal agreements. Academic qualifications equivalent to the first academic year of the high school diploma to be weighted.
• Foreign or domestic students with pre-university studies abroad or in international schools in Spain. Academic qualifications equivalent to the first academic year of the high school diploma to be weighted.
• Students of the International/European Baccalaureate. Academic qualifications equivalent to the first academic year of the high school diploma to be weighted.

Criteria for assessing candidates

Only applications from students who have submitted complete documentation within the period and by the means established will be assessed*.

The admissions exams will be assessed, together with the following criteria:

Entrance Exam Credential from the UNED**

(Certain foreign High School Diplomas or European Baccalaureate):

• Average mark in the first year of the High School Diploma or its equivalent, based on other educational systems: 90%
• English exam: 5%.
• Spanish exam: 5%.

Specific International Baccalaureate (IB) Entrance**

• Average mark in the first year of the High School Diploma or its equivalent, based on other educational systems: 90%
• English exam: 5%.
• Spanish exam, if relevant: 5%.

The Admissions Committee will obtain the students’ average mark based on these criteria.

*Only candidates coming from the field of Health Sciences can opt for this.

**Admission will be contingent on the submission, before 15 November 2021, of the student’s legal prerequisites for access to the University, or their UNED credential.

General knowledge test

This general knowledge test is only necessary for international applicants who are registering to enrol on the first year of their bachelor’s degree in Spain and who do not have a UNED credential (1). They must therefore get their High School Diploma (bachillerato) approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

To pass this test, the student must obtain a mark of 5 or higher.

The student’s admission does not depend solely on the result obtained on this test. This exam will determine the level of support the student requires.

(1) IMPORTANT: Students who can apply to the University using the UNED credential are those who come from the following educational systems: Germany, Andorra, Austria, International Baccalaureate, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, China, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, European Schools, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland, and any other State with which an international agreement is signed on a reciprocal basis. 

The results will not be communicated by mail or telephone. Instead, from 4pm on the day corresponding to their admission date, students will have to check their status through the pre-student portal.

Admission dates:

• 25 May 2021 from 4pm. For applications received before June.
• 14 July 2021 from 4pm. For applicants who took the 10 July exam.

Once inside the portal you will have to click GO TO APPLICATION. One of the following statuses will appear within your application:

1. If the RESERVE step is highlighted in blue it means you have been accepted into the Bachelor's in Medicine.
2. If the step IN PROCESS is highlighted in blue it means you are on the Waiting List for the Bachelor's in Medicine.
3. If the APPLICATION DENIED step is highlighted in blue, it means that you have not been accepted into the Bachelor's in Medicine.

The published result is not subject to appeal.

10% of total spaces will be reserved on the admission list for the test in June.

RESERVING YOUR PLACE

If you are one of the admitted candidates, you have 5 business days from the communication of admission to make a payment of €3,970, which includes reserving your place (€3,200) and opening your academic file (€770) through the pre-student portal.

COMPLETE YOUR ENROLMENT

Students who are accepted into the University for the first time without any prior recognised credits must enrol in the full course of 60 credits.

Once the Admission is confirmed, you must digitally sign all the necessary documents on the pre-student portal to complete your enrolment. To do this, you will receive a link via email that will direct you to a digital signature platform where you will find the following documents:

• Degree Enrolment Application Form.
• Direct Debit Form.
• General enrolment terms and conditions.
• Informed consent form for the Legal Admission Requirement.
• Consent form for internships.
• Informed consent form on the language conditions for the clinical internships.
• Document waiving credit recognition.

Please contact your advisor if you encounter any problems with the digital signature platform.

They must also provide proof of compliance with the legal requirements for the programme they are interested in. These documents can be submitted in the following ways:

• If your documents include a digital signature, you must upload them to the pre-student portal before completing your registration.
• In person at the Vice-Rector’s office.

If the candidate fails to reserve their place and complete enrolment within 5 business days following admission, their spot will automatically go to one of the candidates in the waiting list, strictly in the order determined by the Admissions Committee.

Regardless of the method of payment used, the student must submit a duly completed direct debit form.

The time limit for late enrolment in a trimester is 6 weeks. At the end of this period, it is up to the dean of each Faculty or School to authorise a student’s enrolment.

Submit the Legal Admissions Requirement

Your enrolment is conditional on submitting these documents to the University before completing your registration. We recommend that you submit these as soon as possible, with a formal deadline of 15 November 2021. (This information is indicated in the Informed Consent Form for Legal Admissions Requirements.)

If you start at the University with an International or European Baccalaureate, or come from an educational system in the European Union or another country with a reciprocity agreement:

• You must request the issuance of the corresponding accreditation from the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and we will validate your issuance through the UNED platform.

If you enter the University with a High School Diploma (bachillerato) from another educational system (without taking the admissions tests EvAU/PAU) or from a country without a reciprocity agreement:

• Official accreditation and recognition of the High School Diploma issued by the Ministry of Education, with the final mark shown. You must provisionally provide the referral document (volante) of having applied for the recognition (homologation) of the High School Diplomas while recognition is being obtained.
