Human Resources Award Seal

Human Resources Award

Universidad Europea de Madrid signed and sent to the European Commission in March 2020 the declaration of commitment to the principles of the “Charter for European Researchers” and the “Code of conduct for the recruitment of researchers”.

The HRS4R strategy is a tool launched by the European Commission to support universities and research institutions and organisations that finance research in the application of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, which are intended to contribute to the development of an attractive European labour market for researchers.

The letter and the code of conduct are Commission recommendations to the Member States that are invited to apply them voluntarily:

  • European Charter for Researchers: The European Charter for Researchers is a set of general principles and requirements that define the roles, responsibilities and rights of researchers and entrepreneurs and funders.
  • Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers: The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, which does not differ much from the standard rules governing recruitment, underlines the importance of open and transparent recruitment procedures and committees of diverse and experienced selection.
