The School has implemented Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), an educational methodology integrated into all our degree programmes. This methodology focuses on the development of knowledge and skills as a holistic response to specific needs arising from complex problems. In this way, our students learn best when confronted with a real-world situation to which they have to provide a comprehensive and professional solution.
Implementing active learning methodologies such as CBL encourages the learning and implementation of personal skills that make students more competitive in today’s complex market. In this market, personal attitude and transversal skills are increasingly valued, and management skills are key to professional progress within each discipline.
We train our students so they can find quality employment in the future. In that vein, we have them work in simulated professional environments. We lead students into the future with this method of ‘teaching by doing’, which is characteristic of our technical, hands-on courses. This includes integrated workshops in all areas of knowledge, which allow students to work the same way professionals do—that is, with the same framework and conditions that a real professional project would require.
Nowadays, companies and organisations need professionals who can offer a general vision of business activity and the relationship between the different tasks carried out in an organisation. For this reason, our training programmes are comprehensive, and our students complete curricular and extracurricular internships with the aim of developing their professional skills and aptitudes, as well as their general knowledge of all business functions. This encourages graduates to take a multidisciplinary approach to work, which improves their employability and entrepreneurial spirit.
