The European Researchers' Night is a European initiative that takes place at the same time in over 350 European cities. It is funded by the European Union as part of the Horizon 2020 Programme for research and innovation, under grant agreement number 101036010.
Between the morning of Friday 24 September and Saturday 25 September, there will be one hundred free activities on offer to all members of the public, combining a range of in-person activities with a varied online programme. The aim of the initiative is to support the careers of researchers.
Over 650 researchers from around 30 institutions have selflessly designed and organised the activities for the European Researchers' Night in Madrid, convinced of the importance of this kind of initiative both for bringing scientific knowledge to the young and the old and for fuelling the scientific vocation of future generations, free from any gender barriers.
Once again, Universidad Europea is taking part in this event, organising the activity, Creating a Computational Meta-sustainable Supercity for the 21st Century: imagining, designing and participating in the creation of a sustainable city for the 21st century, using analogue and computational techniques.
