LL.M. in International Sports Law from Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía and Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Lucas Ferrer has extensive experience advising clubs, agents, and athletes on transfer operations; labor and image rights contracts; sponsorship; disciplinary and doping matters; and regulatory compliance. He represents clients before sports federations and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), where he previously served as counsel in more than 400 international cases. He also works with international federations and leagues on regulatory, contractual, disciplinary, and audiovisual rights matters, with a strong focus on complex multijurisdictional disputes. As an arbitrator, he has served on the Euroleague Dispute Resolution Chamber (EBDRC), Sports Resolution, and the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal, and has participated in major events such as the America’s Cup, the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, and the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup. In addition, he is a published author and editor of leading sports law works, teaches in prominent international sports law programs, and has been recognized by Chambers & Partners, Who’s Who Legal, and Best Lawyers for his expertise.
