Universidad Europea's UEmprende Factory start-up support programme, ‘Design your project and launch it on the market’, has been named a finalist in the prestigious international QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025, in the Innovation in Business Education Award category.
The programme was selected from more than 1,600 entries in 18 categories evaluated by more than 800 international judges, placing it in the top 20% and securing its place in the final phase.
UEmprende Factory is a six-month incubation programme created and developed by the entrepreneurship department of Universidad Europea, UEmprende, which promotes real entrepreneurial projects by students and graduates through e-learning training, to develop a business idea step by step, face-to-face training sessions led by experts from each sector, individual advice from a panel of mentors and advisors who provide guidance to ensure the development of a project in the best conditions, events to promote networking, and cash prizes of up to €25,000 for projects with the greatest potential for scalability and market launch.
In three editions, we have supported 55 entrepreneurial projects and 132 entrepreneurs, of which 50 projects have completed 100% of the support programme and have recommended it to other entrepreneurs with a rating of 5/5, giving it an overall rating of 4.8/5.
"With UEmprende Factory, we already had the great satisfaction of receiving an honourable mention from the EMprende MetaredX Award in 2023 from the Universia Foundation as one of the best university entrepreneurship programmes in Latin America, but being finalists for the prestigious QS ranking is the highest international recognition any institution can receive, and we are very proud that we have achieved this with UEmprende," says Ruth Álvarez López, head of entrepreneurship at Universidad Europea.
The QS Reimagine Education Awards are international awards that recognise the best innovative projects in education, learning and employability, awarded by the QS World University Rankings, a benchmark in the classification of the best universities in the world. The awards ceremony will take place from 1 to 3 December in London, where the three winners in each category (Gold, Silver and Bronze) will be announced.
