Dra. Mónica García Mateos

Mónica García Mateos is a professor and researcher in the Department of Physiotherapy.
She has a Diploma and Degree in Physiotherapy, and a PhD Cum Laude in Advanced Physiotherapy, by the European University. She is an expert in Osteopathic Manual Therapy by the UAH and the EU, in Conservative and Invasive Treatment of Myofascial Pain Syndrome by the UCLM, among others. She was awarded “Best Teaching Work” in 2017 and EU Award for “Teaching Innovation”, Inclusion Area in 2018.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience, she teaches subjects of 3rd and 4th year of the Degree in Physiotherapy. Tutor of Final Degree Projects as well as tutor of Clinical Practices. Her lines of research are: Advanced physiotherapy and pain, and Educational Innovation. She is the author of several publications with papers presented at national and international conferences.
