Associate Professor
María José Giménez Mestre is a professor and researcher in the Department of Physiotherapy. She holds a degree in Pharmacy and a Ph.D. (Medical Microbiology program) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her research lines include the preclinical and clinical development of antibacterial drugs, both in the field of in vitro studies (antibiotic susceptibility and pharmacodynamic simulations), animal models for efficacy prediction, and clinical trials (Phases I to IV). She has over 170 publications in high-impact scientific journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and contributions to book chapters. She is the principal investigator of the Neuroscience & Physical Therapy research group at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. She teaches and coordinates the Public Health, Ethics, and Professional Deontology course in the first year of the Physiotherapy degree program in French, and in the second year of the same degree, she teaches the Research Methodology course.
