Associate Professor
Joel Puente Fernández is a professor and researcher in the Department of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) and Physiotherapy from Universidad Europea de Madrid, a Master’s Degree in Sports Science Research from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, and a Master’s in Higher Education from University of Greenwich. He is in the final stage of his PhD defense in Sports Nutrition and Physical Exercise for Healthy Aging at University of Greenwich.
He teaches first- and second-year courses in the CAFYD degree and the Master’s in Training and Sports Nutrition.
His research focuses on Sports Nutrition, Healthy Aging, Movement as Medicine, Women and Sports, and Physical Exercise during Childhood and Adolescence.
