The School of Architecture at Universidad Europea de Canarias uses an educational model focused on experiential learning, which responds to both the needs of the professional world and the current trends in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It focuses on students and their educational experience, so they acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies for maximum employability in a globalised world. They gain a broad competitive advantage through integrated learning with a holistic view of the profession. The skills-based graduate profile is based on the learning outcomes foreseen for each degree programme, and the implementation of the most innovative training activities and teaching methodologies.

Intellectual Dimension

The intellectual dimension is focused on the acquisition of, contribution to, and innovation of knowledge in different academic areas.

Professional Dimension

The professional dimension responds to the needs of society and aims to train professionals who are capable of navigating volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environments.

International Dimension

The international dimension aims to provide students with a global vision, enabling them to adapt easily to interconnected and multicultural environments, both personally and professionally, and to communicate with people from different backgrounds, assessing the full, global impact of their decisions.

Ethical and Social Dimension

The ethical-social dimension seeks to train socially and emotionally committed citizens, aware of inequalities and sensitive to sustainable development.

Professional Study Plan

Our academic model of professional internships, both curricular and extracurricular, allows students to ‘work before they work’, gradually gaining professional experience by applying the theoretical and practical knowledge developed during the course and developing the basic, transversal, and specific competences of their degree in the real business world. Thanks to simulation technologies and virtual labs, this practice is further enhanced by training in professional software. Students increase their intuition, speed, and competence in the most up-to-date professional tools—the same ones used in major companies today.

Internationality

As part of its open, modern, and international approach to education, the School of Architecture at Universidad Europea de Canarias offers multiple international opportunities to Spaniards and foreigners alike. The Department of International Relations is responsible for the coordination and promotion of relations between the Universidad Europea de Canarias and numerous other institutions around the world, as official bodies that promote inter-university cooperation on a global scale. Through this department our students receive information and guidance on studying abroad. The department is also responsible for organising exchanges for students and teachers with other universities, as well as promoting and managing agreements and collaborations with higher education institutions. Students can choose from more than 150 options worldwide thanks to the different programmes in which we participate.
