Simultaneous Interpretation Booths

Our students learn through practice using the same tools they will find in the professional world.

Simultaneous Interpretation Booths

Simultaneous interpretation room with seven double booths. Each booth is equipped with digital equipment that allows our students to learn through practice using the same tools they will find in the professional world.

This highly motivating experiential learning space has been created to allow students to gain the necessary experience in order to develop their future working skills in a simulated environment. The students watch audiovisual content on their monitors and use a digital voiceover and recording system to practice different performance techniques while in the booths.

The students studying Translation at Universidad Europea de Valencia will have access to all the necessary tools and technology in these facilities for their different interpreting courses in their third and fourth academic year:  Simultaneous Interpretation, Advanced Simultaneous Interpretation and Introduction to Interpretation in Language C—French and German.  There are also introductory workshops for simultaneous interpretation for first and second academic year students, and the WISE Summer workshops. Students studying the Master’s in  Conference Interpretation (MIC) also have access to this room.

The simultaneous interpretation room has seven double booths equipped with the best digital materials on the market. The room uses the same professional Bosch consoles as the Valencia Conference Centre.  Equipped with.

  • Sennheiser Broadcast Headsets
  • Digital recording system
  • Monitors for displaying the graphic content used by the professor—videos, pdf and power-point presentations.
  • Five conference speaker microphones
  • Wireless conference microphone
  • Air conditioning in the classroom and the booths
  • Individual light sources

These booths are also connected to the Universidad Europea de Valencia VIP room so that students are able to interpret real conferences.
