- Candidates must have passed the last year of Bachiller studies [Non-Compulsory Post-Secondary Education] or Vocational Training prior to their university studies and, in the case of Bachiller holders, the Bachillerato Assessment for Access to University (EBAU).
- The family unit must be registered, have a tax domicile and have actually resided in the municipality of Malaga for at least three years at the end of the application period.
- Students' household income may not exceed the thresholds set out below:
- Family with 1 child: 3.5 IPREM [Spain's Public Multiple Effects Income Indicator] = €29,400.
- Family with 2 children: 4 IPREM = €33,600.
- Family with 3 children 4.5 IPREM = €37,800.
The IPREM for 2025 in €8,400 per year.
For each additional child, 0.5 IPREM will be added. This equates to €4,200.
In the case of households where one family member has a recognised disability of 33 per cent or more, 0.25 IPREM will be added. This equates to €2,100.
Students of legal age and their legal guardians, in the case of minors, must not have any outstanding debts with the Municipal Treasury, the Tax Agency, the Social Security or the university itself.
Criteria for assessing applications
Scholarships will be allocated on the basis of accredited academic results and will be distributed among the degrees offered by the Universidad Europea de Andalucía. A maximum of 2 scholarships will be awarded per programme, except for the following degrees where a maximum of 1 scholarship will be awarded: Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy and Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedicine.
In the case of bachelor's degrees, the average mark corresponding to the last academic year completed in Bachiller or Higher-Level Vocational Training Cycle (CFGS) will be considered, and the marks will be ranked from highest to lowest in each of the degrees students apply for.
Postgraduate candidates will be ranked according to the final average mark of the university degree they have completed.
