In this laboratory, students apply knowledge of computer network fundamentals and architecture using network traffic analysers, topology simulators and network architecture simulators. Students have physical network devices available to build network topologies, test traffic routing and security mechanisms against external attacks. The space has Cisco equipment (switch/router pairs) for teamwork. The learning outcomes put into practice in this laboratory apply to areas such as Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity and Telecommunications, preparing students for their certifications in networking and computer security.
