The Microbiology Laboratory is part of the facilities of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences at Universidad Europea de Madrid.
The student gains real experience in the analysis of microbiological samples similar to that which could occur in a diagnostic laboratory in a hospital.
For this purpose, they make use of the techniques used for detection, staining and selection of microorganisms that have been implemented in the A031 facilities. Microorganism incubators, staining reagents and selective growth and biochemical identification means for the correct identification of a microorganism are always at reach.
The laboratory is available to all students of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences, and is used by students studying a Bachelor's in Medicine, Dentistry, Nutrition, Biotechnology or Pharmacy. It is mainly used for the Microbiology and Parasitology courses of the previously mentioned degrees.
