The Structure and Function laboratory is a multidisciplinary space that provides the integration of knowledge through workstations equipped with state-of-the-art resources for the teaching of histology and anatomy integrated with the physiology of the human body. Anatomical models, computer and virtual reality software, touch screens, histological preparations, physiological simulators and basic medical examination instruments are used to provide a complete view of the human body from complementary perspectives.
It provides knowledge and understanding of the function of the different organs and systems of the human body from a microscopic to a macroscopic perspective, and promotes the beginning of clinical examination through peer-to-peer work. The workspace is designed to adjust according to the activity to be carried out and to create a collaborative and integrating space, ideal for implementing active learning methodologies.
