Being ranked in the Top 10 of the best companies to work for in Spain, out of more than 1,000 organisations, is a recognition of excellence in caring for people. It represents a business success story with one distinguishing feature: being an organisation that leaves a positive mark on society. Employee satisfaction is the best indicator of this, and in this regard, 80% of staff consider the Universidad Europea to be a great place to work.

With over three decades of experience and having trained more than 127,000 people worldwide, theUniversidad Europea is the first educational institution in Spain to receive this recognition from Great Place To Work®, an international leader in research consultancy and human resources management, which each year identifies the world’s best workplaces through a rigorous process of analysis, evaluation and certification.

Spain’s leading university network in terms of student numbers, and internationally recognised by FORBES, QS Stars, The World University Rankings and the prestigious Shanghai Ranking, has now been named a Best Workplaces™ 2026, ranking among the companies most highly rated by their employees.

The Great Place To Work® survey, designed to measure factors such as trust, respect, fairness and camaraderie, has been very well received by employees. The results are positive, highlighting key aspects such as pride in belonging and fairness, positioning these as cornerstones of the company’s corporate culture and emphasising the sense of unity and the positive feeling of being able to be oneself within the organisation.

For Guillermo Tena, Director of Human Resources at Europa Education, achieving this distinction “is the result of the energy we bring to the University every day: a passion for doing things well, a sense of responsibility for the impact we make, the courage to innovate, and the conviction that looking after people is what truly sets us apart”.

He also emphasises that “being named one of the Best Workplaces™ 2026 is a boost to keep moving forward. It encourages us to continue building, together, a culture based on trust and collaboration; a culture that is evident in our classrooms, within our teams and in every project we undertake”.

Universidad Europea received the award at the Best Workplaces 2026 Awards Ceremony, an event organised by the consultancy firm in Madrid on Wednesday, with Guillermo Tena and Luz Santillana, Director of Talent and Culture at the Universidad Europea accepting it on behalf of the institution.

This recognition comes on top of the institution’s retention of the ‘Great Place to Work’ certification for a further year in 2024, a distinction which recognises that, as well as being a leader in research, innovation and the dissemination of knowledge, the institution is also a leading employer in the education sector.
