The 7th and 8th editions of the Green Employment Hub are promoting new sustainable entrepreneurship initiatives

06 mar 2026

Universidad Europea has held the closing ceremony for the 7th and 8th editions of the Green Employment Hub, the pre-entrepreneurship workshop organised by the Employability and Entrepreneurship Unit in collaboration with the Konecta Foundation and JPMorgan Chase. Once again, the programme has focused on training students with an entrepreneurial spirit to transform their projects into viable business models that have an impact and are aligned with sustainability.

Over the course of 16 hours of training, led by consultant and trainer Bruno Carlón, participants worked through the entire process of developing an idea and turning it into an initial business plan. The programme combined self-awareness and entrepreneurial profiling, idea generation using tools such as Ikigai and creative exercises, and a practical approach to financial planning through exercises on investment, financing options, cash flow, and income and expenditure. The training also incorporated the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence to improve productivity, as well as applied content on franchising, market research, competition, segmentation and sustainable models.

The crowning glory of this seventh and eighth edition was an elevator pitch session in which ten projects presented their proposals in three minutes. The closing ceremony began with a welcome from Graciela de la Morena Carra, Director of the Konecta Foundation, and María Bilbao Aldama, Vice President of Global Corporate Banking Mid-Cap at JPMorgan Chase, before handing over to the jury, comprising Luis Manuel Moreno, CEO of A70grados; Javier Uriarte, Job Hunter at Universidad Europea; and representatives from the Konecta Foundation and JPMorgan Chase.

Following the presentations, the jury awarded this year’s prizes to three projects. First prize went to D.A.R.T.O, presented by Pablo Goulet; second prize to CODEA, by Ilia Maghsood Pour; and third prize to REHABITA, by Ronnie Páez. This recognition brought the day to a close, during which the teams had to summarise their proposals, defend them clearly and demonstrate how their ideas address real challenges linked to sustainability and employability.

The Green Employment Hub has once again placed sustainable entrepreneurship at the heart of the learning experience, in line with the commitment of the Employability and Entrepreneurship Unit of the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Employability at Universidad Europea and its partners to fostering talent with impact. Throughout the programme, students have worked on specific tools to turn ideas into viable models, strengthen their financial planning, develop applied creativity and understand how sustainability can be integrated from the business design stage. This final stretch has cemented the workshop as a space where ideas are tested against real-world criteria, the ability to communicate projects is improved, and opportunities are opened up for further growth within the University’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
