The 2023/24 academic year is packed with lots of news. We offer you this month's agenda with a series of activities not to be missed

Thursday (01/02)

  • Get to know the Clubs and Associations of Universidad Europea de Madrid. The University Life area is organising this activity in which the clubs and their projects will be presented to the entire university community. The presidents of the clubs will have the opportunity to present their projects, activities and the actions they carry out so that the rest of the people can get to know them and come into contact with this part of the education that the Universidad Europea is so committed to.
  • Universidad Europea Music Club Concert. The Universidad Europea Music Club will be one of the bands participating in Univerfest. Intocables", the band of the Universidad Europea de Madrid, will offer a unique show where they will show off their youthful style, their ascending vocal maturity and their high musical quality.

Friday (02/02)

  • Shall We Meet Ineco. The renowned international company that offers comprehensive and innovative solutions in all phases of transport development will visit the Alcobendas campus to meet our students.

Saturday (03/02)

  • Solemn ceremony to award medals to the new doctors, full professors and professors of Universidad Europea de Madrid.

Monday (05/02)

  • Exploring the universe of emotions: Innovative strategies for their understanding and regulation. Covadonga Chaves will guide students through the fascinating world of emotions, addressing innovative strategies for their understanding and regulation.
  • Meeting Club Canarias. Presentation of the clubs of Universidad Europea de Canarias to the university community. The Vice-Deans and the Rector will come to meet the clubs.

Tuesday (06/02)

  • Talk on Electronic Transport in Crystalline Solids. Attendees will learn about the intriguing behaviour of crystalline solids when distances are reduced to the nanometre scale.

Wednesday (07/02)

  • SpeedMentoring. At Distrito Telefónica, attendees will have the opportunity to meet, share and network by spending a morning in a business environment.
  • Carnival at Universidad Europea de Canarias. Students will be able to enjoy decorations and dress up on campus to celebrate Carnival.

Thursday (08/02)

  • Video Games and Animation Job Day. Six companies from the animation and video games sector will visit the Villaviciosa campus to take part in a round table discussion on employability in the sector and then receive students in a job fair format to find out about their profiles and creative projects.
  • Carnival at Universidad Europea de Canarias. Students will be able to enjoy decorations and dress up on campus to celebrate Carnival.

Friday (09/02)

  • First Day of Women's and Girls' Day in Science. The activity organised by the Vice-Rector's Office for Faculty and Research will raise awareness of the role played by women and girls in research, promoting their access and full and equal participation in all areas of knowledge.
  • Shall We Meet IPS. The renowned international company will visit the Alcobendas campus to meet our students.
  • Assembly of presidents of clubs in Valencia. Presentation of Universidad Europea de Valencia clubs to the university community. The vice-deans will come to meet the clubs.
  • Star Days, an event for entrepreneurs (9-11 February). The real challenge that will push talent to the limit, with more than 50 participants. They will have the opportunity to meet elite mentors and create a scalable project in 72 hours. They will also have the opportunity to explore the power of AI to create a company.

Saturday (10/02)

  • Create your own Tote Bag. In the first Creative Campus creative workshop, participants will learn how to make their own Tote Bag.

Sunday (11/02)

  • World Cinema Day. Universidad Europea de Madrid & Valencia offer in their libraries an exhibition of literature and audiovisuals related to cinema.

Tuesday (13/02)

  • Dermo-aesthetic Nursing: training, competence and entrepreneurship of the nurse in the care of body image. This virtual meeting will discuss the current situation of the sector and how nurses can expand their professional opportunities.

Wednesday (14/02)

  • Love Day. Universidad Europea will be holding a number of activities to celebrate Valentine's Day that you won't want to miss. From photos and round tables to performances by the music and dance clubs. All campuses will be involved in the "Love Day". The campus libraries will also join in with different activities.

Friday (16/02)

  • Shall We Meet Siemens. The company considered to be the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe will visit the Alcobendas campus to meet our students.

Tuesday (20/02)

  • Shall We Meet: Travelingua. Travelingua, a leading company dedicated to offering programmes for young people abroad, will visit the Villaviciosa de Odón campus to meet our students.

Wednesday (21/02)

  • RED (Sports Employability Network) is back. After the success of the launch of the Sports Employability Network and all the media coverage achieved, we are now tackling the second phase of the project with the second cycle of meetings of the RED experts committee, which is sure to welcome relevant developments and innovations.
  • First themed club show. The biomedical sciences area will be able to enjoy this event in which students from the clubs in this area will participate.
  • Shall We Meet: Enterprise Mobility. The leading mobility services provider will visit the Villaviciosa de Odón campus to meet our students.
  • IX Respiratory Physiotherapy Conference: "Respiratory Rehabilitation at the Universidad Europea". Various experts will share their knowledge and present relevant studies that set the standard in the field of Respiratory Physiotherapy.

Friday (23/02)

  • Shall We Meet Engie. The renowned international company that offers sustainable solutions for the generation and distribution of electricity, natural gas and renewable energies to achieve carbon neutrality, will visit the Alcobendas campus to meet our students.
  • Global Powerplatform Bootcamp - Valencia. A global event that will delve into Microsoft's Power Platform stack with hands-on sessions and labs, delivered by experts and community leaders.

Tuesday (27/02)

  • The challenges of sustainability in the FMCG sector. As part of the Universidad Europea Master's Degree in Food Safety, Technology and Management of the Food Business, the challenges of sustainability in the FMCG sector will be clearly addressed, analysing the impact of climate change, the current and future regulatory framework, the circular economy in packaging and the reduction of food waste, with an emphasis on food safety.
  • Advantages of early treatment with aligners. Presentation by Dr. Vicente Torres on the benefits of treatment with aligners in paediatric patients.

Thursday (29/02)

  • Round Table on Women's Leadership. Leading personalities will discuss how to advance gender equality and the well-being of women in all areas in order to generate prosperous economies and achieve a healthy planet.
  • New trends in football player scouting. The round table will discuss one of the most important issues in football clubs, the scouting of players. Within the scouting process, there are different phases such as the selection, the viewing of players, the negotiation and the incorporation of players.
