Students from Germany, Poland and Spain share an international experience characterised by active learning and socialising

For a week, Universidad Europea de Valencia hosted a group of ChallengeEU Student Ambassadors from HSO Offenburg (Germany) and UWM Olsztyn (Poland), who travelled to Valencia to experience university life, take part in a cultural exchange and learn about best teaching practices alongside the three local ambassadors from the UEV.

The programme has brought together ten ambassadors for an intensive and enriching experience that has combined workshops, practical sessions and social activities. From day one, the students have immersed themselves in university life, forging connections that have quickly evolved from formal exchanges into genuine collaborative relationships.

During their visit, the ambassadors toured the UEV’s Turia and Viveros campuses, where they were able to explore the simulation clinic, specialist laboratories, active learning classrooms and other facilities that exemplify the University’s educational model. These visits gave them a first-hand insight into the projects developed by students, as well as the active learning methodologies centred on experimentation.

In line with the ChallengeEU philosophy, each Student Ambassador has been set a personalised challenge, designed to encourage them to reflect on their area of expertise and compare educational approaches across the partner universities.

This visit to Valencia has enabled them to strengthen both their skills and their personal bonds, deepening their connection with the international community of the ChallengeEU alliance.
