Is Centro Universitario Universidad Europea Asturias officially authorised?
Yes. The centre is authorised by the Regional Government of Asturias. This authorisation is established in Decree 26/2026 of 30 April, which approves its affiliation with Universidad Europea de Madrid. Centro Universitario Universidad Europea Asturias will operate as a centre affiliated with Universidad Europea de Madrid.
What degree programmes can you study?
The initial academic offering consists of four health-related degree programmes. Study Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Pharmacy. All programmes are designed to prepare healthcare professionals, providing the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience required to make a positive.
Where is the campus located?
The campus is located in an innovative technological environment, surrounded by green spaces and collaborative learning areas. Study at the Gijón Science and Technology Park, located at 130 Doctora María Luisa García-Alcalde Street, 33203 Gijón.
What is your learning experience like?
Our academic model is based on experiential learning. You work on clinical cases in both real and simulated environments, helping you develop practical skills and confidence from day one. You learn from faculty who are active professionals, bringing the realities of the healthcare sector into the classroom. Through transdisciplinary learning alongside students from other health disciplines, you gain a broader understanding of patient care and the wider healthcare ecosystem.
What facilities does the campus offer?
Our facilities are designed to replicate real healthcare environments. You will have access to learning spaces including a simulated hospital, a simulated pharmacy and laboratories for basic sciences, anatomy and dissection, dentistry, and clinical simulation. These facilities will allow you to practise your profession in a safe and controlled environment before working with real patients.
Where do you undertake your work placements?
Work placements give you the opportunity to take your first steps into the professional world and gain experience in real healthcare environments before graduation. We have agreements with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and public and private healthcare providers across Asturias, allowing you to start building your professional career in the healthcare sector.
When do classes begin?
The new campus open its doors for the 2027/2028 academic year.
