Youth and Jobs held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Business world experts claim that fewer bureaucratic barriers are essential for creating companies and for supporting those already in operation in the Canary Islands in order to increase competitiveness and employment, as discussed in the seminar Youth and Jobs: Employability and Entrepreneurship held on Friday, May 13, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, organized by Universidad Europea de Canarias.

This first edition of the event included a panel of experts who shared their valuable points of view in an open and fruitful debate on Considerations surrounding the digital transformation of companies and its impact on professionals , focusing on the tourism sector.

The panel members included Turespaña Board Member and President of the Spanish Society for Innovation Management and Tourism Technologies (SEGITTUR) Antonio López de Ávila; Canary Islands Entrepreneurs Confederation President Agustín Manrique de Lara; President of the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs (FEHT) of Las Palmas Fernando Fraile; Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Las Palmas President Alejandro Pérez; and Universidad Europea de Canarias Rector Cristiana Oliveira. The debate was moderated by RTVC reporter Carolina Pérez. The event was closed by Director General of African Relations of the Government of the Canary Islands andProexca CEO Pablo Martín Carbajal.
