Universidad Europea has selected the ten winners of the 3rd Edition of the “CAFYD Top 10,” a campaign aimed at high school students. Its goal is to encourage new professional profiles in sports. With this program, Universidad Europea commits itself to educating students who are passionate about sports, so that they can impact society and launch a successful career upon applying their knowledge to the field of health.
The ten selected students will receive financial assistance to cover 80% of the tuition cost for the Double Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and Physiotherapy for the five and a half years the degree takes, provided that they comply with the minimum requirements. During this period, they will receive the highest level of education, applying to research and developing their talent and skills.
At the presentation of scholarships, which took place at the Villaviciosa de Odón Campus, Francisco López Varas, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports , declared that “at Universidad Europea we work towards generating a positive impact on our environment through our students. In this way, we aspire to educate those who will pioneer change and set benchmarks, ethical professionals capable of adapting to new contexts and societal demands, to bring about progress.” Furthermore, the event was attended by professors Pedro Díaz Ridao and Álvaro Fernández Luna; Miguel Silvestre, ex elite cyclist, lawyer and alumnus of the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea; Enhamed Enhamed, ex Paralympic swimmer who participated in three Olympic Games, winning nine medals –four of them gold–; and Luis Pasamontes –professional cyclist for more than 14 years.
