Wallapop’s success studied at Universidad Europea de Valencia

Marketing executives from the leading P2P application for buying and selling items give a lecture at the presentation of the new MBA in Business and Digital Transformation

In a start-up it is important to dive in, be audacious and begin before you’re 100% prepared” because “if not, someone else could come along and make off with your idea.” This is one of the keys to the success strategy of Wallapop, the Spanish start-up that is currently a leader in the P2P sales, as explained by Wallapop Content Marketing Manager Carlos Macho. The talk was organized by Universidad Europea de Valencia on the occasion of the presentation of its new MBA in Business and Digital Transformation, which is being offered by its Graduate School for the upcoming school year.

Nacho Mas, director of the MBA in Business and Digital Transformation at the Universidad Europea de Valencia, highlighted the need to “train professionals who will be in demand in the very near future.” Mas moderated a round table which included Marta Gui, Growth Hacking Marketing manager at Wallapop. Gui stated that the “future economy will be very collaborative” because the collaboration economy “is a smart way to consume.” In fact, Gui continued, “that is the future of the economy, and we at Wallapop want to emphasize the concept of ‘emptying your backpack to fill up your life’.”

Other participants included Patricia Pastor, a manager at VIT Emprende, the entrepreneurial ecosystem network of the Valencia City Council and professor of the MBA in Business and Digital Transformation; and Rafael Navarro from Innsomnia, the finance and technology incubator and accelerator, who also teaches in the Universidad Europea de Valencia MBA program.
