The XIII Edition of the Spanish Summit of Sports Law, the main sports law event in Spain, included the participation of the the Sports Law Professor Nicolás de la Plata at Universidad Europea, who analysed, together with some experts in the field, the state of the current state of sports law in Spain.
The Secretary of State for Sports, José Ramón Lete, was in charge of the opening ceremony at the Dámaso Lounge at the Real Club Náutico at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, of the new edition of the XIII Spanish Summit of Sports Law that took place during the 3rd and the 4th of November. The professor of sports law, Nicolás de la Plata took part in a round table about rights in football, with a speech that allowed him to explain how the electoral system has changed in the Spanish Sports Federations.
The speech of the professor was very welcome and generated a very interesting debate between the attendants about the consolidation of sports law and how to perfect the norms, in order to improve the future of Sports Law in Spain. The summit took part at the same time as the 20th anniversary of one of the most important websites in sports law at a global level called Lusport, and also with the collaboration of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea. Also, 5 former students of the school and 3 students of the Master's Degree in Sports Law took part on the event.
