During the 5th edition of PUE DAY, which took place on April 17, Proyecto Universidad Empresa awarded the 2017 "Best Cisco Networking Academy Center" award during the PUE Academy Awards, one of the events which rewards and recognizes the successful work of educational institutions in terms of commitment and efforts to implement ICT educational training programs and official certification into the curriculum geared at increasing students’ qualification and boosting their employability.
As well as granting recognition for the work of Universidad Europea de Madrid related to the Cisco Networking Academy program, PUE made a positive appraisal of the commitment and involvement, implementation and use of the academic program by the faculty among the university community. After assessing the participating institutions, Universidad Europea was the center with the most success in the implementation of the Cisco Network Academy project.
Maite Villalba, Head of the Educational Technology Research Group at Universidad Europea de Madrid, who accepted the award from David de San Benito, Corporate Affairs Manager at Cisco Iberia; and José Antonio Ufano, President and–Director of Institutional Relations at PUE were also present at the award ceremony. In addition, PUE Academy Awards conducted a short interview with Villalba about her experience in the implementation of the Cisco Networking Academy initiative.
