On April 1, the Universidad Europea Alcobendas Campus hosted the first edition of TEDxLaMoraleja, an inspiring event with lectures and live videos that awaken the inquisitiveness and curiosity of the audience, allowing them to take part in generating debates, ideas and connections at a local level.
The 1st Edition of TEDxLaMoraleja was entitled “Building the future”. The theme dealt with technological, scientific and humanistic popularization from a perspective centered around business, young people and social criticism. To achieve this, a total of 8 professionals from sports, arts, business and gastronomy shared their ideas and visions for developing an innovative future.
The inspiring event began with a lecture by athlete Andrés Novo on adapting to changes in our lives, followed by Javier Zubieta, expert in Cybersecurity, to talk about the phenomenon as an essential element of our lives. They were followed by entrepreneur José Manuel Robles, who discussed the side effects of social entrepreneurship. Chef María Marte took the floor before the first break, with a personal success story reflected in her presentation about passion as a personal tool.
Next to inspire the guests was artist Sandra Delaporte, who offered a master class on the musical creative process and also a live performance. Entrepreneur José Manuel Picó talked to the audience about the discovery of schools that include creativity in their education. Photojournalist Javier Arcenillas used the initiative to share emotional documentalism, using graphic documents. The first edition was closed by architect Ignacio Alcalde, who focused his presentation on building the cities of the future faced with technological and human challenges.
