Last Thursday, June 9, a group of second-year Bachelor's Degree in Nursing students visited the Centre Ángel Riviere, organized by APNAV, the Association of Parents of Autistic Children of Valencia.
During the visit, the Universidad Europea de Valencia students participated in several hands-on workshops, and they presented the posters they had made with images and information related to nutrition to the Association. These initiatives are part of an integrative project on nutrition for autistic people, organized by APNAV.
All the participants, both Universidad Europea de Valencia students and teachers, highlighted the usefulness of these activities, because they let students interact more closely with what they learn in the classroom. They are exposed to real-life situations and contexts, and they are personally enriched by interacting with special-needs children.
