Universidad Europea de Valencia celebrates the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2017-2018

06 jul 2018

On July 6, Universidad Europea de Valencia held the Commencement Ceremonies for the close to 900 students in the Class of 2017-2018 in two events held at the Valencia Conference Center and presided over by the rector of Universidad Europea de Valencia, Amparo Galbis. Margarita Soler, President of the Consell Jurídic Consultiu (CJC); and Salvador Navarro, President of theBusiness Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV) were the guest speakers for the close to 900 graduates who were accompanied by guests and family members, as well as the university's faculty.

The President of the CEV reminded the graduates that “one has never finished their education, acquiring new knowledge, and adapting in a process of constant improvement.” In her speech, the President of the CJC insisted on the need to “keep the passion to continue cultivating knowledge alive, because academic studies end, and that's a reason to be proud, but the capacity to continue learning and accumulating knowledge has no end.” The two also encouraged the recent graduates to face challenges in the working world as committed professionals, and to work in an ethical manner in their sectors, always seeking to have a positive impact and promote social transformation.

Moreover, Rector Amparo Galbis underlined that it is “essential for us to advance hand-in-hand with companies and organizations, because by working together we ensure that our students enter the professional world when leaving our classrooms.” The ceremonies at the Valencia Conference Center ended with the moving act of awarding the diplomas to the graduates, who celebrated the end of their studies along with their friends, guests, and families.
