Third day and closing ceremony of the White Week 2018

17 may 2018

Last Wednesday the 9th of May, the third day of 2018 White Week took place. Pilar Jericó offered a motivation talk for the students, where she talked about the keys to reaching your dreams. She spoke about the importance of not letting our fears lead our lives and how it is possible to reach our goals with passion and a positive attitude.

Francisco Panadero, the Infrastructure and patrimonial development Director for the Real Madrid C.F.  at Real Madrid C.F. and Rafael de los Santos, New Media Director at Real Madrid C.F.  offered a different talk. Students were able to learn about the importance of fan engagement and the relevant role that internet and social networks have nowadays within a football club in order to know and understand their audience.

One of the novelties from this year’s White Week edition, was the presence of César Cernuda, CEO at Microsoft Latam who spoke about digital transformation and the impact that it has in businesses.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed the presence of some of the School Alumni currently working thanks to the master they studied at the Real Madrid Graduate School. They spoke about their experience and answered some questions from the current students. The School Professor, Pedro Díaz-Ridao was the debate moderator.

The final day of White Week had Ruth Beitia, Olympic Champion in Río 2016 and 20 times winner of the women's high jump, as the main guest. She talked about her path to success.

We also had some NBA representation at the White Week. Jesús Bueno, NBA Vice President of Basketball business Operations for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) was another of the sports professionals that our students were lucky enough to meet.

Jose Ángel Sánchez, General Director at Real Madrid C.F. didn’t want to miss the event where the students learnt a lot about the permanent search for success that represents Real Madrid F.C.

Enhamed Enhamed, Swimmer and an expert in high performance methodologies, delivered the final talk of the White Week 2018 with a motivational speech where he explained, from his own experience, the importance of working hard to reach your objectives and how to face and overcome difficulties ourselves.

With this final speech, we reached the end of a week full of activities, speeches and workshops. Four days where we experienced the presence of, and learned from, some of the most relevant sports professionals in the entire world. It is now time to say goodbye to the White Week until next year.
