The latest edition of the International Conference of the Spanish Scientific Society of Social Psychology and the 13th National Social Psychology Conference, held in Elche from 20-22 October, included the participation of Manuel Primo Prieto, director of the Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, and other Universidad Europea professors.
Both conferences are considered to be top-level scientific events for social psychologists, held every two years in Spain. Manuel Primo attended the Conferences as coordinator of the panel discussion on industrial and organizational psychology. Meanwhile, the director of the Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention participated as a speaker on the same panel that addressed the social psychology aspects of the wellness and quality of life of university teachers.
Manuel Primo and Universidad Europea professors Enrique Gracera and María Lourdes García, had the opportunity to go into detail about the research project conducted on the situation of university professors while suffering from work stress and occupational burnout syndrome (OBS) at private universities. The sample comprised 271 professors from private universities in the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The results have served to discuss whether or not there are differences in socialization processes in the workplace, profiles that interpret the stimulus field in terms of gender, and the need to establish training in spatial skills geared towards global perception.
