The Universidad Europea holds the 3rd Excellence Conference

On December 14, the Villaviciosa de Odón Campus hosted the 3rd Excellence Conference of the Universidad Europea. This year, in a relaxed atmosphere, the debate centered on people as a fundamental element for integrating quality in organizations: “People as a driver of quality”.

The session was opened by the Rector of the Universidad Europea, Isabel Fernández, and the Director of Fundación Madrid+d, Federico Morán, who discussed the institutional accreditation of the Bologna process, highlighting the importance of contact between universities and companies that “helps us know what competencies the students need to develop.” The Academic and Student Director of the University of Castilla La Mancha, José Cruz-Lemus, concluded the first part of the session with a talk about the challenges of renewing the degree program accreditation process.

The expert panel included professionals from the fields of technological innovation, education and employability, who discussed the value of people as a driver of quality in organizations. The session was moderated by Álvaro Merino, a professor and expert on leadership at the Universidad Europea, with the participation of Diana Expósito, head of the Culture department of Infojobs; Enrique Gonzalo, General Manager of Hightrack; and Sergio Miranda, from the Studies and Assessment office of the University of Valladolid.

Finally, Cristina Peláez, Director of Quality at the Universidad Europea, presented the 9th Universidad Europea Quality Award, with special mention for the WCTP accreditation earned by the Physical Therapy department and the ACBSP accreditation of the Business team. The diploma for Best Practice went to the project  ‘Active listening an effective way to communicate with students’  University: NABA & DA, Academic Processes -  Q&A Head and the Special Mention for Best Practice UE went to the project ‘A Study of Expansive Learning in Co-Configuration Work: International Exchange Student Registration and Academic Guidance’ Department: International Office UEM .
