The General Meeting of Multinacionales por marca España unanimously elected a new Executive Board, which will now be chaired by Universidad Europea through the representation of José María Palomares, the current Universidad Europea Director of Communications and Institutional Relations. The vice-chairmanship will be represented by Accenture (through Paloma Cabrera López), Google Spain (through Francisco Ruiz Antón) and Siemens, S.A. (through Eduardo Bartolomé Fernández).
The priorities of the new Executive Board include developing the association’s goals, which are based on three strategic pillars: innovation, talent and corporate social responsibility. The Board will also aim to reinforce the organization’s presence in Spanish society as representatives of multinational companies with foreign capital. Additionally, the new Executive Board will be comprised of Diageo España, S.A. (Beatriz Blasco Marzal) as General Secretary and Deloitte Advisory, S.L. (Antonio Belmonte Atienza) as Treasurer. The winning candidacy also consists of 16 members, which include companies such as AON Spain, HEINEKEN España, Facebook Spain, S.L., Procter & Gamble España, and L’Oréal España, S.A.
The new Chairman of the MME Executive Board, José María Palomares, lauded the work of the outgoing chairman, Adolfo Aguilar, and said that he is taking on the post with great enthusiasm. “The association represents foreign companies that operate in our country, and since its inception four years ago, it has been working to consolidate Spain as a preferred destination for investment in order to generate wealth and employment,” he explained.
