The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea hosted an Open Session entitled “The Olympic Games: a 360º view of the world’s biggest sporting competition” on September 15 at the Alcobendas Campus, in order to address the Olympic Games from a sporting, psychological, business and institutional stance.
The Olympic Games are a global event that mobilizes millions of people all over the world. A competition in which attending to athletes from a psychological, logistical and economic stance is key so they can compete in the best possible conditions. This was one of the main conclusions reached by all participants.
The seminar was attended by Emilio Butragueño, general director of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea; Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee; Cristian Toro, gold medal winner at Río 2016; Pablo del Río, psychologist at the National Sports Council and the Applied Psychology Center; Ricardo Leiva, sports director of the Spanish Olympic Committee; Leticia Iglesias, communications director at Coca-Cola; and Frédéric Hermel, correspondent in Madrid for the French sports daily newspaper L’Équipe, who chaired the seminar.
